Happy New Year everyone!

To me, Rosh Hashanah is time to reflect and see how I can improve myself and those around me.  We all live in this boat called earth that floats around the galaxy (is the galaxy song running through your head yet?).  Because of that, I have a habit of saying to people "I’m sorry" when I think I do something wrong, which some people see as a weakness.  Saying "I'm sorry" is not weakness but a strength.  It takes a strong person to admit a wrong, even when you do not or cannot understand what you may have done wrong.  To me, soothing over ruffled feathers is more important than being right in a discussion, especially where you can always talk about those issues later when things are calmer.

I have been the head of too many organizations and have dealt with too many people who can take thing wrong with just a look.  I have tried to fix those wrongs but some things, as I have learned, are not fixable.  Yet, as part of human nature, I have also done wrong to some people, mostly unintentionally.

Yes, I am supposed to be seeking forgiveness but to me, saying “I’m sorry” is the first step, the next step is yours.  So, to all my friends that I might have done wrong to, “I’m sorry”.  Hopefully this will be viewed  as a positive first step to all.

Warm wishes for a sweet year filled with prosperity, peace and happiness!
