this is how november should always be
today i won a free trip to alaska.
and i just finished watching another beautiful sunset from our window. i get to see beautiful sunsets. i wish that words could describe them. or that pictures could capture them. but at the same time, that's what makes them beautiful. that's what make God beautiful...his art is utterly impossible to capture the majesty of it. same with humans, some friendships and relationships and people, utterly impossible to capture their beauty. sometimes i think too much about the ugly in this world and the beautiful becomes jaded. gosh, i find so much joy in some of the most simple things. like having unusually warm weather and throwing a football around for hours in the field with a friend. and then this sunset. it makes the crappiness of earlier this week and weeks before seem all right. and worth it. well i'm rambling.
p.s. do any of you have credit cards? i heard a guy speak today about credit and buying houses and stuff...it has inspired me to be even more frugal. and made me never want to get a credit card or have to be responsible for my own finances. oh, and i bought a magic bullet yesterday.
