Fly Me to the Moon...
An overdue entry...
Not a whole ton has happened, but the noteworthy events as of late are as follows.
As some of you may or maynot know, I play trivia every Thursday, last week completed the 9 week tourny, my team came in 7th out of 15 teams, not bad, but not great either. Last year we came in 3rd!!! Anyways over the summer our team will be fairly small, but in the fall we will have a revamped team, so hopefully we can compete better.
Over the weekend I did the whole Neshaminy thing. Drove down Friday afternoon with Charles, we went to Sutler row, ran into people we know. Saw Traci and Nips, nothing but kind words were said. I'll miss not having Nips in the unit, but he has to do what is right for him and I wish him the best. In reality it is not like we won't see each other since we plan on doing things with SWB. Friday night we drank in the parking lot as people slowly arrived, Dull, Jesse, Joe, Nate, Tom, Vix, Z, and eventually Cheryl. Finally bunked out around 3 am. Saturday we skipped the battle, but Tom, Dull, Z, CHarles,and myself made our way out and did some interacting with the crowd and talked to people we know. Started to do bayonet drill when most of us who have done bayonet drill realized that hardee's was much more fun, so we stopped and looked for a Hardee's manual, which we have yet to purchase. Saturday night allergies got to me and I was kind of out of it, I was not alone as allergies took out Z as well, not to mention booze KOing Dull and Jesse, and eventually Charles. Sunday, left fairly in the morning and went home.
Worked on Monday night, Kanig came in and we talked for a couple of hours, it is always nice when my friends stop by at work, it makes the shift go so much faster. We spent a lot of time talking about Hearts of Iron 2, thus I bought Hearts of Iron 1 for my MAC today. They were out of stock of HOI2.
Today I had my last class for the semester and got a study guide for the final (Big yawn). I have become very lazy in what is now my 6th year of college. A bit of advice, when you go to college plan for the future or you will be like me going back and getting certified, something which I should have done the first time around and not wasted another 2 years of my life. Oh well, live and learn I guess. Slept in the afternoon, and in the evening watch the Orioles game with my Dad. Good times!
