I HATE TESTS

Last night I slept very poorly in anticipation of my exams, I only slept an hour or two, needless to say I was beat this morning. At 7am I reported bright and early for my PRAXIS PPST Test in Reading, Math, and Writing. The reading sections was easy, if I got a single question wrong I will be disappointed in myself, the math section was not as bad as I had feared, only a few questions gave me fits, but I think I got all but one or two correct. The writing section is a different story. Writing has never been a strong part of my intellect, I had to work really hard to become a good writer, but today I think I reverted back to high school Steve-O in writing. In the first part of the writing test you were given a a sentence, with certain parts underlined, you had to determine which part was incorrect or if the whole sentence was fine as is. The biggest problem I had was the fact that the writing style itself was odd and I thought overall the entire sentence could have been redone! The second part was similar, you were given a sentence or two with part of it underline, you had to determine if the underlined part was correct or you could plug in any of the 5 choices listed, needless to say I was frustrated once again b/c the style was odd, and the choices although correct were very boring as well. The final part of the test was an essay, which I think I did alright on. It was a boring topic to write on so I just made sure the structure was okay and did what I could with it. I was finally able to walk out the door around 12:30pm. I find out how I did in about four weeks.

I got home, ate some lunch and went to bed and caught up on some sleep. I woke up checked some email, etc. Had an IM from Tom say Cabrera pitched well for the O's in their Spring Training game. (Tom, if Cabrera and Bedard pitch like the can, with no injuries, we have a nice little rotation going with Lopez, Benson, and Chen.) I love basbeall season, and with Tom we try to hit as many games as possible although last year my passion fizzled out after Palmerio's steroids test (Asshole). Still trying to work on Opening Day tickets this year, the past 3 seasons Tom and I have gone to Opening Day, it is a nice tradition, hopefully we can keep it alive!!!

In reenacting news, I might have found a good deal on a cap box, keeping my fingers crossed that I responded in time. I still need to get a few more things to upgrade my kit, esp for Federal. I need a new canteen, which I will probably get next weekend. I also need a ground cloth, federal trousers, and a plate for my cart. box (I thought I had one, but I misplaced it, the search is continues as my Dad thought it might be in a box in storage, if so, this would explain other possible missing gear!) My goal is to get all of this federal gear in time for the JM event in late June. I will hopeully be able to go if I can work out a deal for time off at work, without actually requesting off, because I need to R/O for July 8 (Gibble's Wedding) and for Rich Mt. in mid July. I do not think I am going to do the WWII event in Reading for $$ reasons, I need the money so I might just work and save it.

That is all I can think of for now, still waiting on one more check in before I can do my paperwork for the day. I will probably wait another hour or so. In the meantime I will jam to some music and try to stay awake.

Regards.
