I've been so busy of late with so much sorting out to do that I've almost completely forgotten to update this thing.Almost. But not quite. Since my last update, I have found out the results to my A Level exams...and I got ABB, an A in Media and the B's were in English Language and Religious Studies, so I'm pretty pleased with that as it now means that I'm in at my first choice of institution, which is Sheffield University ^-^ I got my confirmation letter on results day (August 18th) and then I replied straight away. On Monday I got a massive package from them with all sorts of information about finance, fees, etc. Apparently I have to have a medical interview and then there's tonnes to do inbetween before I even register or attend Fresher's Week. Damn, looks like more work before I can finally get there. But alas, it will be worth it. I'm in and such, but I really need to decide upon which modules of my course that I want to study, which is what I am having a little difficulty with at present. I'm thinking about starting from scratch (unless this is compulsory which I take it might be on my chosen course) as to learn the basics in Journalism is probably a necessity :p But we'll see how it goes. For now, I'm just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the last couple of weeks/days left before I have to move away and become truly independent. Not that it should be that difficult, more enjoyable above all else as I like to spend a lot of time on my own anyway, so I shall get used to it I'm sure.
Today I did my Theory driving test in the morning, around about 10am'ish (I was actually half an hour early or so) and so they fitted me in then and there. Good news was it was easier than taking a swim in the sea and I passed quite easily. I scored full marks 35/35 on the theory touch screen part of the test and 60 out of 75 possible marks on the Hazard Perception Test which I'm very pleased about because I was really worried that I would fail on that part of the test. So my instructor will be glad to hear that I have passed that part of the test and will now be able to take my driving test (if it's at all possible to fit in within the next few weeks before Uni). I really hope so though as I'm practically at test standard anyway and it'd be a shame to have got this far and then not at least try to pass. I'm not too bothered if I fail though as I should be back around Christmas time/spring time/summer time of next year and I'm sure it will be possible to take it then. Ah well, such is the stress of tests. It makes me kind of happy to know I probably won't have to take any major tests again, other than exams next year and the year after that and that...oh and of course the driving test. Anymore? Not that I can be sure of. I'm sure somebody out there right now is devising some more tests to make fragile young victims within our society stress out over something so trivial and which in the end...is more of a measure of luck than IQ. HA.
**Bullshit**.
So Long, Scarecrow is out in stores too (from August 23rd) and I still don't own it-but this will change very, very soon! :)
Oh and I'm going to be in the local newspaper. Watch.
That's all the major news anyway...now, back to being a slave in the proverbial kitchen of life.
