A little hat told me this is a symbol of bravery. I'm actually quite flattered, but it would not tell me much more than that. Said something about not wanting to look around for very long. I would say that is peculiar, but then again, if hats normally made a habit of talking and thinking, they should be able to see into the heads they sit upon, shouldn't they?
