I came home to a bunch of my landlord's friends watching the Iowa elections. They were all Nigerians, so obviously they were cheering for Barack Obama, the African American Democratic winner in IA so far. I heard about that on CNN on the way home, but I switched to a different news channel. >.>
I guess watching the elections with friends is fun. Even if I had friends who do that, I probably won't join. I'm not that interested in presidential elections. If I'm a citizen, I'll do some research and vote for the person I believe in best, but other than that I'm apathetic. They say there's a lot of voter apathy, but I don't blame the people when there aren't that many capable leaders to lead the country IMO. (Or maybe 'emo'.) Besides, they're all politicians. They make you want to elect them and then people find out they chose the wrong person. I thought Bush was gonna be good. See what happened in these 8 years?
Just as long as they don't send the country I'm in into ruin or war.
