And I think to myself, "What a wonderful world"

I've had a lovely period of introspection lately, and have learned a lot about myself. This has led me to be a sponge of knowledge, as every piece of information I take in seems to lead to another observation about myself, those around me, or people in general, or the world as a whole. I often take the time now to smell the roses, and lift my head from the ground to see what's around me. I take time to see the details instead of rushing to the finish line. I need to get each detail so I can form a better idea. Everything I see or hear has suddenly taken on layers, and each layer is more beautiful than the one that lay on top of it. Damn the world is a wonderful place, and I am lucky to be in it.

More than anything else though, I see myself a little differently. I've learned that I am a listener, positive, energetic, adventuresome, down-to-earth, simple, and just happy. All I need in life is a smile, my own two feet and like-minded people to be happy. And dammit, I have all those
things. Plus now I have a whole new set of eyes to enjoy all this with.
