[He says this casually, as if he were talking about the weather instead of his best friend. The feed remains open for a little while longer and there's a weight to this pause that wasn't in his words, like there's something else he wants to say... but it's gone, by the time he does speak again in his usual lazy drawl.]

When Law comes in, Shikamaru will have been sitting on a high roof somewhere in the middle of the village, overlooking a flower shop and a few other stores.
He hears the doors opening and closing, and while he turns in that direction to keep an eye out, he doesn't bother to get up. The way the Holly Boys flock towards anything that moves, he'll know what direction the person is coming from soon enough. And if it's anyone he needs to worry about? Shikamaru knows- knew this village like the back of his hand.]

Shikamaru sits up a little straighter, popping another chip into his mouth and giving a short wave before turning his attention back to the artificial sky.
Getting up would be troublesome. He's in no rush. Far as he's concerned, Law can look around as he pleases.]
