[At first, he's so busy thinking things through for only the hundredth time that day that he nearly doesn't even notice her. By the time he does, it's kind of too late to avoid her unless he wants to waste his chakra on a jutsu.

Taking a walk. [He looks up to watch the rain fall, wrinkling his nose as it splashes into his face before looking back over at her with a small grin.] I'm on my way to talk to someone.

[Very briefly, as he realizes what she's about to do, his shoulders twitch back in reaction to that.

He stops himself quickly, however, schooling his face back to it's typical lazy expression. He turns the twitch into a roll of his shoulders, and raises a hand to pick at his ear.]

[Katara glances up and the truly impressive stream-off she's managed to gather around them. She's not holding the water, just redirecting it, but it's still bouncing off of where she bends as if it was hitting a dome.]

That won't be too hard if you've got a while to go. The clouds look like they're darkening.

Mm. Yeah, they do. [There's a long pause as he seems to take time to consider it, but then he just shrugs his shoulders with a sigh.]

How troublesome. It's bound to pick up even if I turn back now, though, so I may as well just keep going forward. I can wait out the rain once I'm indoors.
