Backstory: Dev was the oldest child of three, growing up in Toronto. He was always close with his sister Lucy, 2 years his junior. Their family had always been traditional and wanted their children to grow up to be doctors, lawyers, and the like. However, when their third child got into an accident and suffered severe disabilities, their older children were cast aside. Dev and Lucy were sent to boarding school in Montreal, where they resented their parents and became immersed in the arts. Dev graduated valedictorian but ended up starting Clockwork for attention just as much as his love of music instead of going to university and prefers it that way. He rarely talks to the rest of his family aside from Lucy.
