I'M A LIBRARIAN !!!!!!!!!!!

and my 28 days later cd came today

and today was my first lacrosse league game
and I held my own in a game with people from state championships and college!!! :)
they're all really nice.
I'm very excited :)

You work about 3-4 times a week, shifts are usually 3 hours (there's one on saturday that's 3 & a half I think). they're really flexible and tracy (my boss) said that they know students have a lot of stuff going on. the girl who was supposed to get the big introduction tour today with me didn't show up!!

you get the application from the circulation desk (just ask for an application), not the reference desk. you can mention me on the application (it has an area for "people you know who work here"), but I don't know if they'll be considering me a good reference yet. in the "why this is a good job for you" section you could write that you love libraries/books (there isn't a lot of space on the sheet, I just wrote "avid reader'). at the interview there's a little test (arranging cards with dewey decimals in numerical order and then arranging a different set with authors/subjects in alphabetical order) and have a reason for why the library is a good place for you to work (I mentioned liking to organize things and wanting to clean up the shelves, hahaha. I was totally being serious, too).

the rachel always wins, but geez, $46. that's like a brand friggin new game.
I feel kind of bad about stealing it away from the other person...
