These days in HOTLANTA!!!
So the time has come for the penultimate activity for those of us between the ages of 18 and 22...SPRING BREAK ROAD TRIP!!!!! I flew into Dallas so that I could then embark on a 12 hour pilgrimage to the great city of Atlanta, GA (home to many amazing females and even moreso amazing cars). I never knew Atlanta could be so damn cool. Damn skippy indeed. Such friendly and beautiful people and places. This can be summed up in the experience that Alan and I had today at Barley's Billiards, the pool hall that we ended up at after "BILLIARDS", which was closed (which is next to-I'M NOT KIDDING- "Phuket Thai Restaurant": Cheers to asian phoenetics!!). Greeted at the counter of Barley's we were handed pro-quality pool cues based on which size we wanted. Here I was expecting to do the usual "give the guy my i.d. in exchange for balls and directions to our assigned table" bit. Instead...."Wendy here will show you to your table."
Okay, that's kind of classy, all restaurant-like. Neat. But there's more. Wendy, upon arrival at our table questions...
"Will you gentlemen be playing 8-ball today?" then proceeds to RACK OUR FIRST GAME FOR US!!!! But wait....
This woman who has just escorted us to the table and racked our game, offers to fetch us drinks from the bar. I might add that when it came time to pay up, two of my four beers were noticeably absent from the check. Speaking of noticeable, the open kitchen (right next to our table) was operated by this unbelievably attractive women. Here we were playing pool, having food and drink (half-free) brought to us while we could see a beautiful woman make our lunch?!?!?!?!?! Life is good.
Uh-oh! And let's not forget the beautiful weather. It has been shorts and t-shirt weather since we arrived and we played frisbee out in an awesome cosmopolitan park yesterday. All this and the most unbelievable 3,000 member bible study we attended, locking in an ever deepening affection for the Bible Belt. It don't get much better.
