Checking In for witnessof_fate

Claire was a little concerned for Mohinder from the last time that she talked to him.  He didn't quite sound like himself and she knew he was playing with something that he shouldn't be playing with.  She told herself that it wasn't her place to be concerned, she owed him nothing after all.  He owed her more than anything.  But that didn't stop her from deciding to go and check on him.  She left Adam a note to let him know that she was going out but she really didn't say where, just that she was going out.  She had her cellphone if anyone needed to get a hold of her but things were different with Adam.  He treated her like an adult, he didn't need to know where she was at all hours even if he did like to keep track.  He trusted her and that was something she was enjoying.

Dressed in a pair of jeans, a fitted green tank top and a black jacket, she adjusted the strap of her bag across her body as she walked off the bus that wasn't that far from Mohinder's loft.  Ducking her head against the blast of wind, she shivered a little even if it was almost out of habit more than anything.  Reaching his door, she rubbed her arms gently as she hesitated for a second.  Maybe she should have called him instead of just showing up?  Biting her bottom lip, she hesitated for a moment as she looked around and took a moment to think.

Then she told herself that it was going to be okay.  Mohinder wouldn't hurt her.  For some reason he seemed more interested in making things up to her and he hadn't turned her over to the Company the last time she saw him.  Lifting a hand, she knocked lightly and then tested the handle to push the door open slowly as she peeked a head in.  "Mohinder?"  She called out softly, still nibbling on her bottom lip.
