After Claire found out the address to the
house in the Hamptons that Adam bought on a whim, it was fairly easy to convince Sylar where they should head without really telling him what they were going. She was just a curious girl after all and she wanted to see what the houses were like in the Hamptons because she had heard there were some that

"Things?" Mohinder asked, wandering over, beer in hand with an arch of an eyebrow.
"Well, I didn't want to go with frozen veggie burgers for you, so, there are kebabs and portobello mushrooms and teryaki tofu on the kebabs, as well as these packet things...all to go up on the second grill surface above the meat, so no mingling, see?" Adam had to demonstrate, of course, but it drew a touched sort of look from Mohinder. "But, yes. Things."
"Right. Things. Thank you." He gave Adam a bit of a bemused smile and moved to sit next to Baileigh, as grilling things really wasn't a pastime he'd ever learned.
Sark, on the other hand, seemed highly interested in the whole fire thing, of course. "I think it's a shame we didn't get a chicken to test the rotisserie on."
"We can do that for the fourth?" Adam suggested, glancing between the other three.

As soon as she stepped outside and noticed the others, she beamed while holding her arms above her head. "I have succeeded." Her eyes twinkled with humor before she stepped to the side and made a sweeping motion towards Sylar as though she were presenting him.
"Ta-da! The Birthday Boy!" Then she did a dramatic whisper. "Don't mind him, he's a little stunned at the moment. Talk slowly." She quickly stepped out of reach.

At Sylar's grand entrance, however, she beamed and got up, tiptoeing carefully so as not to scrape her bare feet to give him a quick hug. "Hey! Happy birthday! Adam bought a house!"

Sark lifted his glass of wine, looking amused from where he was leaning against the stone balcony that surrounded the patio. "Happy birthday."
Mohinder moved to meet him to hug him, when he let go of Baileigh, feeling his awe, and the jumble in his thoughts. He brushed a kiss over his cheek with a smile. "Happy birthday, love."

What? She was ten! Parents -- or a significant other kissing said parent -- kissing was filed under the "totally embarrassing and gross" category. Now Ryan kissing her? Was not.

"Don't be ridiculous," Sark chimed in. "After epic paintball matches on my birthday, did you think you were going to get out of it with nothing?" Really, though, he could understand some of the surprise, and shock--that had taken him more than a little aback, himself. He supposed neither of them were really used to this sort of thing.
"And Guitar Hero showdowns for mine," Adam added. "You realize you're stuck with us and some sort of massive something or another, apparently."
"I'm not certain anyone can top buying a castle," Mohinder murmured, glancing up at the tower.
Adam beamed.

She nodded, smirking a bit as she listened to all the things they had done for other people's birthdays so far.
"The castle is awesome." She nodded, looking over at Adam while nudging him in the side. "Speaking of paintballs, we definitely have enough room around here." She looked over the grounds.

It allowed her to be near the front when Nathan arrived.
So she appeared a couple minutes later, smiling. "Look who I found." She nodded to Nathan.

Julian cast him a glance, then smiled at Nathan. "Can I get you a drink? We've got sodas and beer in the fridge for the heathens, or I brought a couple of bottles of wine." He tossed Sylar a smile. "You, too, birthday boy."
Mohinder snorted at the heathen comment and took another sip of his beer.
