Chanyeol is a lawyer but Kyungsoo is merely an intern. In an elevator.

kacts+ i love jiji anyway) for the kinks/tropes "trapped or stranded together; in an elevator" and "height differences." I actually had a lot of fun writing this and people seemed to like this which ;;;; hum.
Also, this is probably going to be the last time you see any fic from me. At least, from this account (winkwinkwink u know yea).
It takes a few months for Kyungsoo to get used to the new law firm as an intern; the amount of paperwork that always ends up his arms is overwhelming and, for such a small guy like him, heavy. The other workers (lawyers, especially the secretaries) refuse to help him, viewing him as a pest, a guy who will soon be replacing them in the near future (except, Kyungsoo's not sure if they're just accusing, because he's heard one of the bosses mention his name and-it's just awkward now, okay).
Despite being an intern, Kyungsoo really does feel like a secretary, and maybe he's better at it too because he's seen the girls gab and talk and flirt their way to a paycheck. He's the one that answers the phone calls (after being properly taught how to speak to others on the phone, right after he had gotten scolded for actually saying "hello" to the person on the other line-a client-by Park Chanyeol).
Eventually Park Chanyeol asks-demands that Kyungsoo call him just Chanyeol, ridding him of the formalities Kyungsoo had added previously. Park Chanyeol is a odd character, and maybe this is not considered weird around the other workers, but it certainly is to Kyungsoo. The man is slightly loopy, and sometimes Kyungsoo wonders if he's high. It is only when the man goes to work that he stops being so odd, and Kyungsoo realizes how much of a Stanford grad Park Chanyeol is-top of the firm, with the biggest cases. It amazes Kyungsoo how he can keep his work life from disturbing his personal life.
Except, Kyungsoo is a part of his work life. And he kind of wants to be a part of Park Chanyeol's personal life. Which, by all standards, is weird and awkward and Kyungsoo hates it. (It's like a porn movie; such a cliche. He's never watched porn before. Well, kind of, once he'd caught Jongin watching it and Kyungsoo couldn't help but stay and watch a little before revealing himself to Jongin, who had been close to pulling off his boxers to-Kyungsoo can't even finish the thought.) He can't bring himself to hate Park Chanyeol though-Kyungsoo can't possibly call Park Chanyeol by his first name, though he's been asked so many times by the man.
"Park Chanyeol, sir?" (Kyungsoo cringes to himself, because even that sounds weird in his head.)
"Kyungsoo, call me Chanyeol, okay?" And then Park Chanyeol smiles and all Kyungsoo can see is his teeth (he has very nice teeth; Kyungsoo wonders if he's ever had braces before).
Park Chanyeol is a man, because Park Chanyeol is so much older than he-and Kyungsoo's just a boy. Chanyeol is twenty four years old and he is only seventeen years old-and even though he's graduated early and taking the year off to intern at this huge New York law firm, he is still a boy. He is still still a boy.
Kyungsoo wonders though, what is on Park Chanyeol's mind when he sets his eyes on him and they glaze over so nicely. It is only when Park Chanyeol thinks he's not looking that he sees this, and his heart soars. He has a hard time thinking at this point, when Park Chanyeol's done this the fourth time today. It's only lunch time.
It's only lunch time, and Park Chanyeol is staring at him in the elevator, riding down in short spurts because people keep coming in and out, and eventually it's just them. In the elevator. Kyungsoo's fumbling with his tie; it's a little wrinkled now, half-way through the day, and Kyungsoo's had enough so he pulls on it (and he chokes a little, because he's never figured out ties). He can see Park Chanyeol staring at him and the corner of his lips start to lift before he can help himself. The elevator bumps a little bit but Kyungsoo pays it no mind because Park Chanyeol's eyes on him is much more attention-grabbing than some stupid elevator bump.
"Ahh, Kyungsoo... " Chanyeol mumbles, and even then his voice is deep and thrumming, like the beat of a song or a rap from the other car that carries to his when he drives along the road. He hates it, but his heart can't help but go at the same, slow rate as the beat at the same time.
"Yes, Park Cha-Chanyeol?" He sighs at his own voice, so fragile and small. He sighs at himself. He is so small. He has to lift his head in order to meet Park Chanyeol's eyes.
"The elevator... "
"What about it?" Kyungsoo can feel his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. He scrunches his eyes.
Then, they open when he feels a finger grazing the ridge between his brows. Park Chanyeol takes his hand away and Kyungsoo can feel red blooming on his cheeks.
"Don't... Don't do that. You'll have wrinkles." Park Chanyeol's deep voice is nervous. It is cute. "Also, I think the elevator stopped."
Kyungsoo frowns. He sees Park Chanyeol's hand twitch, as if he's restraining himself from reaching over and correcting his frown, too. He smiles despite himself. " ...Oh."
"Yeah. Oh." Kyungsoo stares at the elevator buttons. He presses one; it doesn't light up. He presses another one. Park Chanyeol looms over Kyungsoo. It's a little suffocating, in the best of ways. It makes Kyungsoo so nervous.
Park Chanyeol clears his throat and it makes Kyungsoo jump. The sound is so loud. Chanyeol smiles sheepishly, a smile with no teeth, and it gets Kyungsoo to smile back. Kyungsoo doesn't know why it's so appropriate to stare now, but they do, and it's not uncomfortable as it would've been had Kyungsoo stared back the other times. He feels as though his heart's about to burst from his heartbeat and well Kyungsoo doesn't really know what or why or how-there is a reason he decided to pursue law instead of medicine, okay.
Kyungsoo honestly doesn't feel the atmosphere change, and maybe that's because the atmosphere's been there all along-but Park Chanyeol goes in for a kiss. But Kyungsoo doesn't really notice, because he thinks Park Chanyeol is going after him, or coming to whisper in his ear and he is very ticklish there, so he falls on his butt against the wall of the elevator. He stays on the metal floor, mouth agape, with Chanyeol still "looming" over him, eyebrows raised in curiosity.
"Kyungsoo, what are you doing," Park Chanyeol asks.
"No...thing?" Kyungsoo still doesn't really understand, and perhaps that's a good thing because if he had, he'd be freaking out right now.
It takes Park Chanyeol slipping down on his knees for Kyungsoo's eyes to feel like they're going to pop out again (Kyungsoo notices that Chanyeol is still very big when he's on his knees).
Chanyeol kisses him. It's very soft, Kyungsoo thinks, and that's about it because his heart's doing all the thinking for him. Except, Kyungsoo's lips aren't moving, and that concerns Chanyeol. It concerns him greatly.
"Please kiss me back," he whispers when he takes his lips off of Kyungsoo's, just a breath away. It sends shivers down Kyungsoo's spine, and now Kyungsoo has no problem doing so. Though, he doesn't do it very well because it is a little sloppy. Chanyeol fixes that for him.
It takes the elevator moving to break them apart, and they separate with sighs on their lips. When a slutty secretary steps into the elevator, she stares at the two with eye-shadow covered, narrow eyes.
Chanyeol and Kyungsoo step out at the same time.
"Have lunch with me, Chanyeol?"
"Call me Cha-" Chanyeol tips his head at Kyungsoo. "You called me Chanyeol."
"Yes, that is your name. Chanyeol."
