I have been called powerful.

I have been called a blockhead.

I have been called a savior.

I have been called an idiot.

I have been called Aniki.

I have been called Osaru.

But Mr. Governor Ratfor the Fourth? That has to be the most random thing I have ever been called.

((OOC: 1) Aniki means older brother and 2) Osaru means monkey))

Savior...?

Yes. That was...so long ago. The Digimon in that city called me a savior, only because of my blood. My dad was a savior to them, so they saw me as one too. I failed to protect them...I thought I could, with everyone's help.

I failed...but I was able to kill the man who destroyed them and their city.

I was once called Savior...and failed, too. At least you were able to make it up to those, Digimon.

Sometimes it feels like people use the word "Savior" too loosely...

Not only is it used loosely, people who have a large head like me make too much of it...

And others like me feel pressured to the breaking point to live up to the expectations...

((I find Masaru owning up to his ego quite amusing. XP))

Live up to expectations? I take it people have expected much from you.

It comes with being a savior, doesn't it?

...

It does.

I'm glad it's all over with for me. I no longer have to be compared to my father.

I suppose it's over for me as well since I'm no longer in Neotopia. It does little to assuage the guilt, though.

. . .

You seemed to have handled it much better, though. You must be quite skilled.

I don't know if I did the right thing. People have told me that I'm very emotion driven. I've also been told that my heart is in my fists.

It's a good and bad thing.

At least you didn't fold to the pressure.

I can understand that. That way, you're always sure of and true to your feelings, but at the same time it can cloud your judgment. In the end the people who call you savior are the ones that matter, though.

....

Most of those who had called me 'savior' died.

Like I said, I did get my revenge...but I didn't tell you that after that battle, the god of the Digital World had almost destroyed my world.

If I had stopped that...I wouldn't have to had gone against a god.

I'm sorry. I should have realized...

I suppose we both made our mistakes.

Unfortunately, making mistakes is apart of what makes us human.
