So i think i had one of them epiphanys that everyone is so fond of having on a regular basis.
I suddenly realized my double standards when it comes to slander speach. Now most of yall know i support my buds useing the word fag. Cause i belive if you own a word, it doesnt hurt you. WELL GUESS WHO WAS 100% wrong....
This morning on a floor i floated too, with nurses im rather fond of. I was attempting to let a nuse know about a blood glucose level that was a smidge too high. Well guess what i hear one of the day nurses say.....
"so the guy in *** is he still here? That fag is still here?"
So insted of relaying what i wanted to tell the nurse, i bombed away from the desk, seething, RIPPED. And proceded to bitch to Molly about how offensive that was, and how thats a shitty attitude for a nurse to have and ect.
Well befor i left. Insted of reporting her. I went right up to her and said
me: excuse me. I cant but help belive i over heard you use the word fag when refering to the patient in room ***
her: What....?
me: When refering to the patient in room *** you used the word fag.....
her: yeah and?
me: Well i wanted to inform you, I AM ONE, and i have never been so offended in my life.
her: OHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh no i didnt mean it what way, i ment like ya know? fag like whimpy and weak!
me:............*your kidding me right......*
Her: yeah thats what i ment, ya know! like i have guys friends both men and women.
me: YEah thats nice but seriously next time you need to be aware of what you say, because thats not acceptable speach.
her: Ok YEAH!
me:.......*how old are you lady.....your in your fucking 40s! YOUR NOT 13!!!!!*
ok seriously, i could have reported her to her manager since she was right there. but imo her manager is a moron.....i could have went right downstairs to my manager and reported her, and charline woulda probably reamed her a new one.
but i didnt. I tryed to be the polite patrol. because yes. its a word, yes it shouldnt offend me, expecaly if i use it. but i dont know? this is a place of work. To say something like that at a nurses station. at 730 am! when doctors are around, patients are awake, and visitors could be comming in. ITs not acceptable. its downright disgusting. and the oh i have gay friends, and i didnt mean it like that.
THEN HOW THE FUCK DID YOU MEAN IT. YOU USED A WORD THAT MEANS TWO THINGS. CIGERETTE AND A HOMOSEXUAL SLANDER! YOUR NOT FUCKING BRITISH *cause yes i work with a few brits and they do use that word and its ok cause THEY ARE BRITS! and they are refering to smokeing every time they say it*
