Summary: Eunhyuk have promised to never hurt Donghae's heart. Donghae have promised to never leave Eunhyuk alone.
Can they keep their promise?
Donghae's brain was slowly turning to mush. He was sure of it. Any second now it was going to come pouring out of his ears. With every word Kibum said, his brain became more and more liquidized. It wasn't possible… he didn't want to believe it, yet he knew it was all true.
"…and then I spoke to Siwon," Kibum continued in the same dull, emotionless voice he had been droning on in for the last ten minutes. "And he said that Eunhyuk was going to try and get you to fall in love with him."
Donghae frowned, his slow brain working.
'But I already told Hyukie that I love him…'
"But Donghae, I do believe Eunhyuk's feelings for you are genuine," Kibum said slightly louder. "That he truly lo-"
"Stop," Donghae said, softly but firmly. "Please, don't say it…"
"But Donghae," Kibum began. "It's true, he lo-"
"Don't say it!" Donghae screamed. As quick as the outburst comes, Donghae quieted, leaning forward, his brown hair hiding his face. "Please… don't say it"
"Donghae…" Kibum whispered, leaning forward. "I-I'm sor-"
"No," Donghae cut him off with a teary smile. "I-I'm gl-glad you t-told me. Otherwise I-I would h-have- he would have- we…"
"Calm down Donghae," Kibum whispered, reaching out a hand for him. "Please, calm down."
Donghae rocked back and forth slowly, trying to control his emotions. His thoughts continued to race, overloading his mind, none of them making sense.
"Donghae!" Kibum's voice drew him out of his stupor. Blinking a couple of times, Donghae tried to focus his eyes on Kibum.
"Kibum…" He murmured. "I-I wanna go…"
Nodding, Kibum rose, wrapping an arm around the brunate, guiding him towards the car park. Donghae leaned into Kibum's chest, frozen, his steps slow and shaky.
Kibum frowned, not liking how the talk went. He couldn't help but wander if Siwon was going any better.
------
Panting heavily, Eunhyuk's dark eyes bored into Siwon's black ones. Siwon seemed unfazed by Eunhyuk's shouting, calmly sitting through the entire ten minutes of Eunhyuk screaming about how much he loves the little brunate.
"Well," Siwon said, raising his eyebrows. "Are you quite done?"
Before Eunhyuk could answer, a low groan from behind them drew their glares. Sungmin thumped his head on the table.
"Fuck!" He swore. Eunhyuk narrowed his eyes.
"What?" He demanded. Sungmin didn't answer. "What?"
"Kibum," Sungmin growled. "Is talking to Donghae right now, about something he claims is 'very important.'"
Eunhyuk's heart froze. Slowly, he turned back to Siwon, eyes widening. Siwon smirked at him, face filled with smug satisfaction.
"No…" Eunhyuk whispered, the anger fading from his eyes. "No…"
"Yes," Siwon said cruelly. "I'm afraid your days of playing with the brunate's heart are over. The little angel is free."
Eunhyuk stared at the other for a moment before an expression of complete rage spread across his features.
"You bastard!" He snarled, fisting Siwon's top. "You fucking bastard!"
Siwon seemed unfazed by the hand gripping his top. He calmly raised an eyebrow.
"You could waste your time yelling at me," he said calmly. "Or you could go look for Donghae."
Eunhyuk froze, the reality pouring back into his eyes.
"Donghae…" He whispered softly. Siwon quickly removed the red head's hand from his top. Eunhyuk barely noticed.
"You see, Eunhyuk," Siwon said, his voice filled with arrogance. "You played with that angel's heart, and now you've lost him. He deserves someone much worthier."
"Worthier?" Eunhyuk demanded, lip curling. "And I suppose that's you?!"
Siwon's eyes narrowed and Eunhyuk knew he was in dangerous territory, but he didn't care.
"The lowly 'riding horce ' of the Choi family," Eunhyuk continued. "Prodigy, genius, mastermind, and yet… doomed to spend his life working for his family."
"Shut up!" Siwon hissed. "Shut the fuck up!"
Eunhyuk shook his head, his smirk growing.
"Why would Donghae want you when he has me?" He continued. "Yes I may be the second son, but I am the heir, due to my brother's abdication of his heritage. I will inherit the companies, fortunes, everything, I can, and will, give Donghae the life he deserves. You, however, would have given hi-"
"I said shut up!" Siwon screeched. Gasping, he caught himself before he lost it completely, trying to maintain his composure. "Well, you don't have Donghae anymore. So we shall see what he prefers. You, who lies to him, but can buy him everything. Or me, who be able to give him everything too, yet can love him truthfully."
Eunhyuk narrowed his eyes, glaring at the equally angry class president.
"Stay the fuck away from Donghae," he growled. "Stay the fuck away from him."
Siwon rose slowly.
"I won't," he said simply. "And you can't make me."
Eunhyuk slammed his fist down on the desk, feeling the skin on his knuckles splitting. Blood seeped into the table, but Eunhyuk kept his eyes locked on Siwon's. Without saying another word, the red head stalked from the room. Siwon watched him go, an amused expression on his face, before he too, strode from the room, leaving the confused Sungmin slumped in his chair.
----
Driving like a mad man, Eunhyuk weaved his car in and out of traffic, eyes still scarlet as he powered away from the school.
'I need to get to Donghae before that fucking Siwon does… oh fuck Donghae, please, listen to me!'
Pulling up in front of his destination, minutes later, Eunhyuk took a deep shaky breath, turning the engine off.
'Donghae… please, listen to me…'
----
Driving calmly, Siwon slowed down at the traffic lights, watching disinterestedly as they turn from amber to red. Waiting patiently, he flipped through radio channels until, rolling eyes pale eyes, he switched to a CD. As the lights switched to green, a small smirk appeared on Siwon's face as he pushed down on the accelerator, not hurrying, but not dawdling.
"Idiot monkey," Siwon muttered, the smile still in place. "I'll teach him to insult me…"
Pulling up in front of the house, Siwon calmly switched off the engine, noting that, unsurprisingly, Eunhyuk's car was nowhere in sight.
"Here we go," Siwon murmured, anticipation fluttering in his stomach.
-----
Wrapped up in the warm blanket, Donghae stared up at the ceiling with dead eyes. Memories ran through his head, from his first kiss with Eunhyuk to the first time he shared Eunhyuk's bed. Tears slid down his face, but he didn't bother to wipe them away.
A knocking at the door broke him out of his trance. He ignored it. It continued.
-----
"Donghae!" A familiar voice called. "We need to talk."
Rapping on the door, Eunhyuk waited impatiently for Donghae to open it. Shuffling from foot to foot, he glared at the closed door, knocking again.
'He can't ignore me… ok, simple, give him a few minutes, and then break down the door.'
Liking his plan, Eunhyuk shuffled back and forth, knocking again, losing his patience.
"Donghae!" He called. "We need to talk."
-----
Knocking on the door, Siwon waited patiently, not expecting Donghae to open it for a while. After a few seconds, he knocked again. Ok, so he wasn't being very patient, but hell, Donghae was available!
"Donghae!" He called. "We need to talk."
-----
Biting his lip at the words, Donghae dragged himself from the comfortable cocoon of blankets he was settled in, shuffling towards the door. Before he could reach the door, however, it crept open on its own, the person on the other side obviously losing patience.
His eyes widened as he saw who his visitor was, fresh tears filling his soft brown eyes.
----
Eunhyuk, fed up, opened the door. Letting it creak open, his eyes widened at the sight before him.
Donghae's room was empty.
----
Siwon opened the door slowly, fed up with waiting. To his surprise, Donghae was out of bed, moving towards the door. As their eyes met, fresh tears sprang up into Donghae's cerulean brown eyes.
"S-Siwon…" He stuttered. "W-What are y-you doing here?"
Siwon smiled softly at Donghae.
"I'm here to see you, of course," he said quietly. Moving forward, he wrapped an arm gently around Donghae's shoulders, guiding the smaller boy back to the bed. Donghae dropped back into his cocoon, looking incredibly out of place with the rest of the room. Donghae's honey eyed, chocolate hair beauty just didn't go with Kibum's empty bedroom.
"K-Kibum let y-you in?" Donghae sniffed, wiping at his eyes. Siwon nodded.
"He's worried about you, as am I," Siwon said softly. "We're sorry, Donghae."
"It's ok…" the brunate muttered, looking down. "…not your fault…"
"But I should have told you sooner, Donghae," Siwon said sadly. "You don't deserve to be put through this."
Feeling bold, Siwon reached out to stroke Donghae's chocolate locks, revelling in the silkiness of the hair under his fingers. Donghae looked up at him with wide eyes. Siwon smiled, opening his arms invitingly. Donghae took the invitation, clambering forward to lean against Siwon's chest, letting Siwon embrace him tightly. Donghae sobbed softly into Siwon's top.
"Shh…" Siwon soothed. "It'll be ok… I'm here…"
"S-Siwon…" Donghae sobbed, clutching the bigger's top tighter. "H-He hurt m-me…"
"I know," Siwon murmured. "But I'll make the pain go away…"
Looking up at the boy, Donghae's eyes widened.
"H-How…?" He whispered. Siwon smiled sweetly.
"If you'll let me, Donghae," Siwon said softly. "I'll never hurt you, unlike Eun-"
"No!" Donghae interrupted. "D-Don't s-say h-his name…"
"I won't hurt you like he did," Siwon continued. "I won't…"
Donghae nodded, ready to do anything to help ease the pain of Eunhyuk. Leaning in, he pushed his lips gently against Siwon's. The young master's eyes shuttered closed automatically as he drew Donghae closer. Keeping the kiss simple, both Donghae and Siwon frowned into the kiss, breaking it simultaneously.
"It doesn't-" Donghae began.
"-feel right," Siwon finished for him. The both looked at each other, frowning.
'It's not at all like when I kiss Eunhyuk… when I kissed him, I felt warmth, and cold, electricity, and happy… when I kissed Siwon… it felt like I was pushing my lips to someone else's…'
"Well…" Siwon murmured, a small smile on his face. "Isn't this interesting…"
"Siwon…" Donghae began. Siwon smiled at him, placing a finger over the brunate's lips.
"It's ok…" he said. "I didn't feel anything either…"
Donghae sighed in relief, maintaining his tight grip on Siwon.
"Oh well…" Donghae mumbled sleepily. "Maybe you should try Kibum…"
Before Siwon could respond, Donghae drifted off to sleep, arms still tight around him. Siwon chuckled, hugging the brunate tight.
"Maybe you're right, Donghae," He murmured. "It's about time I stopped being such a selfish bastard and became a good friend."
At that moment, Kibum appeared at the open door, his eyes widening at the sight of Donghae wrapped around Siwon. Quick as a flash, Siwon untangled himself from the brunate carefully, laying Donghae's body down softly. Crossing the room silently, he followed the emotionless pale guy to his living room.
"Congratulations," Kibum said dully. "I hope you and Donghae are very hap-"
Siwon pushed his fingers to Kibum's lips, silencing the pale guy.
"I kissed Donghae," he said simply, almost wincing at the hurt that flashed through his friend's eyes. "But… we both felt nothing. We're not anything."
Kibum blinked a couple of times, confused. Siwon smiled, moving his fingers from Kibum's mouth to dance down Kibum's neck.
"Kibum…" Siwon whispered. Kibum tilted his head up to look at the older boy, eyes wide and hopeful. "I've been ignoring you for too long…"
With that, Siwon swooped in, pushing his lips softly against the pale guy. Kibum's eyes slammed closed as he leaned into the kiss, melting into the electricity and incredible warmth sparked from the simple contact. Siwon quickly slid his hands down to Kibum's waist, pulling him hungrily against him. Kibum gasped slightly, allowing Siwon to slide his tongue into the his mouth. Exploring excitedly, Siwon clutched tighter, never wanting to let Kibum go.
Breaking apart for air, Kibum and Siwon panted, eyes meeting. Kibum allowed a slight smile to flicker on his face, before Siwon swooped in, kissing the smile off the pale guy.
----
Back in Kibum's room, Donghae was jerked from his sleep by the ringing of a mobile.
Blinking, he looked at the bedside table, seeing Kibum's phone blinking. Still in a sleepy daze Donghae reached over and answered it.
"Mmm?" He mumbled into the phone.
"Kibum!" The sharply familiar voice snarled. "Where the fuck are you? What the fuck have you done with Donghae? Damn it, Kibum, where is my Donghae!"
Shaking, Donghae clutched the phone, eyes wide in shock.
"Don't fucking ignore me, Kibum!" Eunhyuk continued. "Where the fuck is he?"
The door creaked open again, and Siwon and Kibum entered, hand in hand. Kibum frowned when he saw Donghae on the phone.
"Donghae?" He asked. "Who is it?"
Wordlessly, Donghae held the phone out to Kibum, ignoring the shrieking voice.
"Donghae! Is that you, Hae!" Eunhyuk's voice was desperate. "Baby, talk to me! Where are you!"
Kibum took the phone coldly, putting the speakerphone on.
"Eunhyuk," he growled into the phone. "What do you want?"
"Put Donghae back on!" Eunhyuk shouted desperately. "Please! I need to talk to him!"
Donghae shook his head viciously.
"Sorry, Eunhyuk," Kibum said sadly. "He doesn't want to talk to you."
"Whose fucking fault is that?" Eunhyuk screeched. "If you had kept your fucking mouth shut this wouldn't be a problem! And where's that fucking Siwon?"
"You don't have to worry about Siwon," Kibum said, a trace of happiness entering his voice. "He isn't after Donghae anymore."
Said Siwon settled on the bed, pulling the distraught brunate into his arms. Donghae collapsed against Siwon's chest, sobbing again.
"You hurt him, Eunhyuk," Kibum said softly. "You hurt him so bad…"
"I didn't want to!" Eunhyuk's voice was on the verge of hysteria. "I love him! Oh Kibum, I love him so mu-"
Kibum switched off the speakerphone, cutting off the rest of Eunhyuk's words.
"Eunhyuk, we'll talk later," he growled. "No, later."
The phone was switched off.
