My friends were/are in a time of much confusion. I, finding myself on the outside looking in on these varying situations, find myself attempting to be an objective mediator between the Wants and the Needs.
The Wants and the Needs have been feuding since long before my short time on this Earth and I can only suppose that they will continue long after my short time is up. Their brutal battle is witnessed by nearly every human being on this Earth every day of every week and often results in broken diet plans, broken hearts, and perhaps even broken limbs depending on the density of fog on the battle field. The magnitude of this crusade increases everyday with the population, resulting in more and more lard asses, poets, and gimps than this sorry world every need see, but I digress...
The true issue at hand lies in this eternal question: Where do the Wants and the Needs become moot and allow Happiness to take precedence?
I find myself struggling to help my friends find the answer.
I also find myself questioning whether there really is one.
Much to my chagrin, I'm beginning to think that the Future is really all that matters. Wants and Needs are only the soldiers in this ageless struggle.
Yes I do realize we have now muddied a seemingly simple question with seemingly excessive variables, but I promise you it is all important to my conclusion. Which is as follows:
If you concern yourself with the future, you'd be happier now.
