- Life's much simpler here on the island and city of Davao. One race... warm weather... no need to go great distances to do things... it's mellow for me. Many people just hang out and gossip on the streets from what I've been told. The weather's warm and very humid. Island-life.
- A lot of Davao's culture has withstood the test of time. One example is clothing. Nurses working in the hospital wards where my Grandma's at still where all white uniforms. The female nurses still wear caps. All students from elementary school to college all where uniforms, as well. I find it interesting.
- Entertainment and food's cheap for the touring person from America. Videoke is quite fun running at around 200 pesos (around $4) per hour. Plus libations for 95 pesos (around $2). A typical meal at most restaurants can run around 95 to 150 pesos on average.
- My cousin spotted some abandoned kittens in front of the house yesterday. I took em in. They were in a red plastic bag with their cute little meows and barely crawling. They're quite cute and its sad to see them get dropped off just like that. I'm able to feed them... but could use some pointers.
- My Grandma's status appears unchanged. She's still on a ventilator and some meds for pressures. Today's supposed to be the deciding day.....
