i can't keep secrets from you can i?

..i ate a xanax.. only time i have ever done that.
i also bought a giant teddy bear.heh

i think vague novelist is my future. not being able to organize my thoughts apparently has some perks. i'm still looking in to UTD. so i have questions.

i want to start this summer so i can move quicker out of this fair city. i have all my core credits, but not 4 maths or sciences since i'm graduating early. i'm about to take my act which i assume i will do relatively okay on..i have my sat in march i think. i have tons of stuff to put on my transcrpit like art club and dance and shit like that. do you think i could get accepted even without my 4th math and science. i have a good gpa..and it should only go up from here. also, can i wait until after march to apply because i want to use my SAT and if i can get another act in before then i want another chance to do better ya know?
scholarship oppurtunities???
cuz i will need moneys.
i know not for summer session but for regular tuition???
do you know any of this or am i just bugging the mess out of you?

tell cam i said hi.
tell him i want to be his friend.

i watched pushing tin this morning.. i liked it.

i am like blank book queen..but journal keepers usually are. so that explains us.

i miss you dear jacquie.
have a nice day.

Nope, no secrets allowed.

I can answer some of your questions, but some I'm not sure of, like the stuff having to do w/ graduating early and not having your 4 math and science classes, so I would recommend calling the Office of Admissions at 972-883-4045.

I assume you have been to UTD's website, but I will give you some links that should help you.

Application deadlines: http://www.utdallas.edu/student/admissions/

It says the deadline for summer is April 1st. And another thing you might want to ask about when you call is Comet Camp - it's like a freshman retreat type thing and it's something you definitely don't want to miss. You'll make friends there. It happens right before school starts in the fall, and I assume they would still let you go if you just started the summer right before. Also ask about freshman orientation and how that would work. Another consideration is apartments. If you want to live in the freshman apartments on-campus (which you definitely should), you wouldn't move in until the end of the summer, so you would need to work out those arrangements somehow. I'm sure the people at admissions can help you out though b/c there must be some people who have done this before.

Info. about Comet Camp and Orientation: http://www.utdallas.edu/student/slife/newstudentprograms/

Scholarships: http://www.utdallas.edu/dept/ugraddean/scholar.html

I don't really see why you wouldn't be admitted, and I don't see why you wouldn't be offered a scholarship either. Cam has the same scholarship I do (minus the National Merit Scholar distinction), and he had like A's and B's in high school I think and didn't do much in the way of extracurricular crap. The scholarship we have covers tuition for all 4 years (8 semesters), and there's a stipend and a discount for on-campus apartments. The scholarship is by semester, not by credit hours, and you can use it for summer semesters, but if you were only taking 1 or 2 classes, you would probably be better off just paying for those classes and saving the scholarship for the spring and fall semesters when you are taking 15 or whatever. Make sense?

The admission process in general: http://www.utdallas.edu/student/admissions/prospective/freshman.html

Another person you might want to call and just chat with is John Jackson. He is one of the undergraduate advisers for undeclared students, and I worked w/ him a lot and he's a cool guy and could probably give you some good info. The number for him is 972-883-6805, but you'll have to ask for him if you call b/c it goes to a secretary. And you can mention my name if you want to, he knows who I am by now. :)

Let me know when you have more questions (I know you will have more), but you should be able to find a lot of answers on the university website. If you just go to the homepage and click on "Prospective Students," you should be able to find a lot of info. there.

Does that mean you want to be Cam's LJ friend, or his real friend, or both? :) You've probably figured out that he is camdez. I will tell him to add you to his friends list though, and you can add him to yours. I don't know if you have read his journal at all or not...

hi kate. i'll be your friend.
will you be my friend?

Jacquie is definitely right about the dreaming in concepts thing relating to what you said. I definitely know what you mean about narrating. I can't say that I do it all the time, but often. Especially when I am fantasizing about something -- I explain it to myself as if I were reading the words off a page.

My brain is rather lacking in the ability to recall visual items, but if I can recall the words for the shapes, sights, sounds and scents, I can re-live the event, and with a focus only towards those parts which I -- or my (subconscious) mind -- deemed memorable.

blarg, I am tired. Hopefully this makes sense. Lets be friends.
