Bed and breakfast

Last we saw this room, it was Gretta's new room as a teen, after she had shared a double bed with her brother for some years. It still is her room and her bed, but evidently nothing less than locking the door will keep her brother from sleeping in it. Perhaps he just likes the smell of her pillow, I've heard that is a thing. OK, that may have been an anime. Anyway, a bigger change is coming.

Simeon the Sage will still spontaneously help Gretta with her homework. But look twice at this picture, because it is the last glimpse of a toddler, at least in this generation. Probably.

Who is this handsome lad? Amanda Ulveskaret, the androgynous toddler has grown into an androgynous school child. I feel pretty confident (based on 1 data point) that this won't last through puberty, for better and for worse. But that's still a long time off. Long lifespan, remember.

She does have a discreet ponytail, actually, as a token of her femininity. She also has her own unique familiar (well, unique in the family). Somehow I feel they are a great match, almost on a par with Mass Firestarter and his Phoenix. If old Grim wants to get to Amanda, he'll have to go through Skully here, and I don't see that happening.

Unfortunately the bed monster is not so easily deterred. Then again nobody except her can see it, so that may be why. And yes, that's Gretta's old bed. Amanda spontaneously took it over rather than share the double with Mass. I neglected to mention that when baby Amanda came in the house, Mass had a bright red angry-moodlet for like six hours. He got over it, but their relationship is still only around 30, unlike the two oldest siblings.

Speaking of whom, they seem perfectly fine with giving up the new bedroom to Amanda, if they get to be together day and night. I'll try to find room for a third bedroom once Mass reaches puberty, though. Maybe it is time to start building vertically. It's not like they can't afford it. But right now I think it would just be left empty.

And we leave with this idyllic picture of the Ulveskaret siblings doing their homework together with help from their father. And yes, they all managed to finish before the school bus came! ^_^
