Zeroeth World problem
One of my shirts lost a button. And I can't decide whether to sew it back on or throw the shirt away. Both times I moved, I wish I had much fewer clothes, and shirts in particular are probably enough for 30-40 years without buying new. (I kind of roleplayed ordinary human a bit too realistically for a while...)
On the other hand, throwing away things that are not beyond repair seems to me like challenging fate. I grew up in a time when "darn" was a vetb.
