LJ cuts still hate me.
I rode Brandy today. I got a lesson on loping. I had some huge confidence issues when it came to riding last year, and I haven't done it since then. Yeah. So I did it today. OMG, this is the first time I've done it on Brandy, and it's so uncomfortable. lol. It's not really the loping so much as getting her to do it. Her trot is terrible. But I did it, and I feel all acomplished, etc, etc. haha. It's a lot of work to lope, and a huge workout. My legs, arms, and stomach felt like jelly. My abs have never hurt so much. lol. I was clinging to my saddle horn so hard that I got blisters, so now my hands are covered in bandaids. I also hurt my wrist doing it...it's all sore and ick.
This is like the only picture of her loping. LOL, fail. And omg, I look terrible. But look, I have arm muscles, apparently.
He's lame.
Again.
Ugh. Pam said he was doing SO much better. She rode him a couple times this week and he was fine. She rode him yesterday, and even loped him a little bit, and he was just fine. She turned him out in the pasture, and said he ran around all night, and this morning they brough him into feed him and he was lame. He has a stone bruise [a bruise on the hoof, from stepping on a stone just right] So he's not coming to the show tomorrow, which is SO disappointing. I was looking forward to showing my baby. But I'm just hoping he's doing better by Monday when we live for District. -sigh- Who knew we'd end up having all these problems with him? .
The other cool part of my day was when we looked up The Salt Air where Switchfoot is playing in Salt Lake City. My Mom has actually been there a lot, and her parents and grandparents used to go dancing there. She freaked out when she found out where they were playing [and said, OMG Katie you HAVE to go .] It's such a cool looking place.
