Something to pass the time

So I realized I haven't done any movie reviews for awhile, esp now that I don't have a subprofile, so here are the 4 latest I've seen. Ranked on a 5 star system:

Incredibles: 1 and a half stars: The Incredibles fell entirely too short of incredible. Pixar and Disney didn't live up to their quick whitted, incredible computer graphic reputation. Well I do take it back the graphics were good like normal, but nothing that I haven't scene before. Other than the cool by design computer animation there was a lack of much else good to say. The old oriental lady and the fact that Jason Lee and Samuel L Jackson were in it, I think that may be about it. As a matter of fact Jackson cartoon wasn't in it all that much, and Jason Lee is funnier as a real person. Anyways, with a slow, boring, and some what predictable storyline, it was almost too hard for me to watch (it was too hard for Laura she fell asleep). The ending unnecessarily continued on and on. Not even the little kids in the theater laughed collectively for over 30 seconds. It is time to send that stinker to the trash heap and never speak of it again.

Spongebob Squarepants: 2 and a half stars: A fairly generous rating if you ask me. The normal Spongebob crew was all there (most not even in it for more than a scene or 5 at the most), but the spirit was gone. There were two inconsistancies (sp) the first was SB voice (how you can't keep the same voice as the show for the movie is beyond me), and King Neptune was different from his character in the one episode he was in. But the biggest problem was the moral. Now anyone who finds Spongebob slightly humorous must agree that the best part is in the complete lack of moral or point to an episode. The movie was quite different. And frankly they already played that game of Spongebob "growing up" so cut the crap and give the fans what they want ... an hour and a half of dumb senseless comdey.

Finding Neverland: 5 Star Special: Rarely does this happen, a movie I have interest to see but am not going crazy to go see it gets my highest rating, but what an excellent flick. Jonny Depp plays another perfect roll as the creator of Peter Pan. I really can't say much but that it was excellent and I recommend everyone goes and sees it.

Closer: 2 stars: Looks only take you so far and this movie proves that. With Jude Law and Clive Owen for the ladies and Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts for the men, that might be the only thing to save grace for this movie. A weak timeline, and somewhat week storyline, cause a boring blend saved souly in times by the humor in language and situations brought on by Natalie Portman's character and Clive Owen's character. What left me out of the light was the way it began and ended. I can't say I am sure what the hell was going on with Natalie Portman's character (aside story in the main story) an issue never resovled. Oh well.

With the holiday season bringing a few more exciting (hopefully) movies our way I should have some more of these great reviews for you, not to mention this years top 5 of mine coming soon.
