Light Switches

Aug 12, 2008 23:20

Fuzzy outlines of a door
Oppressive darkness that swallows me up
Until
Your left hand catches mine and
Your right moves my hip-
Oddly enough, closer to yours.

Imagine my surprise when you don't
Know where the light switches are.
That flips a switch in my brain
And my body-
I hope not in my soul
That would be more than I could
Handle in the darkness of our
Sanctuary

We move and something crashes.
You lead the way and lead away.

I know I'm not stupid,
But I lose a few IQ points
With your arms around my waist
And your lips on my neck

The darkness is more of an adventure now,
Less of a hindrance
We knew we weren't alone,
But did it matter?

It never seems to-
But I never take the lead
And I don't know where the switches are either.
