Chronicles of Riddick

I was bored so i figured i'd go to the midnight showing of one of the movies i've been greatly anticipating.

The first movie i ever bought on dvd was a little sci-fi flick about an anti-hero character called riddick in pitch black. I saw it in the theatres when it was out with the premise of a good sci-fi flick that's different than anything thing else out there.

Earlier this month the Video game came out that was supposed to teach you more backstory about riddick and his escape from butcher bay double max prison. The video game was amazing, the best looking thing ever on the xbox and published by vin deisel's own game studio Tigon. So i had high hopes for this movie....

...And they were met at every point. The whole movie is classic riddick, from the scene in the begining on the ice planet that picks up exactly were the video game left you to the final battle scenes. They didn't use too much of riddick's eyeshine but it was still fantastic. The fight scene's themselves are smooth, riddick never loses that supreme arrogance not even for a second that he can defeat everything and anything. I don't want to give too much away in the movie but the bad guys are even all awsome, the necro's as riddick calles them. And the first time you see the lord marshall just freaking rip out someone's soul is pretty badass.

This movie is classic sci-fi for sure, and you can certainly expect another one in the series at some point.
