It's been a while....

It's been about two years since my last post. I have no excuses other than the fact that I'm on facebook more than here. LOL! Life has been incredibly wonderful since I last posted. Mark and I will be celebrating 27 years of marriage this coming June. Sarah is going to be 14 in June and a freshman in high school next school year. I am definitely not ready for that. We are still homeschooling but we have her enrolled in a private group with 15 other 6-12 graders that meet M-Th from 8-1:30 "ish". I've been fortunate enough to be teaching several subjects to the five 6-8 graders and I'm loving it. Next year I'll be teaching a 7 grader exclusively and teaching a grammar class with all the students.
Our families are doing very well. Both sets of parents are slowing down but once the 80's and 90's hit it's to be expected.
I'm very slowly starting to write again. I'm slowly pulling out works and dusting them off. Little Cabin In the Woods is what I've decided to work on for now and I'm dabbling with two pieces that I have extensive notes on but had never taken the plunge on. It feels like the time is right to revisit what I once enjoyed even if it only means I'm finishing them for my eyes alone. The going will be slow...my hands just don't work as well as they used to. The ring finger and pinky on my left hand are completely numb and it looks like the same thing might be happening on my right hand now. The keys seem jumbled and out of place under my fingers...things would be completely indecipherable if it weren't for the delete key and a boatload of patience. LOL!!
I have a new obsession... I discovered on youtube a few days ago a video of Simon Le Bon and Luciano Pavarotti singing Duran Duran's "Ordinary World" and a video of Simon and Dolores O'Riordan singing The Cranberry's "Linger." Both melodies brought me out of a bit of a funk. The lyrics are great but it's the music that really gets to me. Wow... I have enjoyed revisiting Duran Duran's videos and listening to Dolores's songs.
Daylight is burning. I haven't really accomplished much today. Bye for now.
