April, Glasses, Creeping up to 7 years with Jimmers

I’m liking April. In less than a week, me and my sweetheart will celebrate 7 years together and leave town with our dogs to be on the Oregon Coast. Away from work, away from juggling the people I love, time to connect and time to enjoy each other and really celebrate us. It’s been probably the hardest year on our relationship, and I feel like we’ve succeeded and need to really take some time to honor each other and honor our partnership.
Long term love is not for the weak. I have a lot of gratitude for the things we’ve been through together. I love it.
It will be good to check out, do a low key trip, something close - and yet far enough away. And connecting hardcore with Jimmers one on one right now IS important to me. So, yeay for that! Otherwise, the energy of April has been mellower. I feel more at ease. Emotionally adjusting to my new life is happening.

In other news, my glasses arrived 2 days ago. I like them and hate them. I wish I had contacts. I don’t want to be glasses girl. But, fact is - they help. A lot. I am in control of the glasses though, and I choose to take them off or keep them on, and that helps. I do not like parking with them. It changes everything in a bad way. I love them on the computer. I love them a lot of other times too.
I have 2 pair the smaller ones fit better. I’ll be going back to get my black ones adjusted. The smaller pair are red. :D

The fact is that my eye sight is not bad enough that I can’t see without them. The eye strain goes way, way down, and life gets a little easier. As suspected, I am sure there will be times I just choose not to wear them. And other times I wear them. If I was able to get contacts, I would most definitely wear them more. But they say that isn’t easy for my eye situation apparently.
I am going to see what I can do about finding someone who might help me with that endeavor anyway.
I wasn’t satisfied with the answer the glasses tech gave me when I asked why. Regardless, in certain situations I can see I don’t prefer to wear them. Even though they do help with all varying vision because of the near sighted vs far sighted eye thing.

It’s Friday and I’m happy about it. There is more I could write, but this will do. Just happy, happy, happy with April! And very happy with my 10K program.
It’s working out so far. When I hit the 4 mile long run phase and beyond, it’s going to feel like a real progression. I think the 4.5 mile bar is going to be bliss!!!! I live for physical progression.

Sean's surgery is scheduled for our 6 month anniversary. Hmmm. Well, at least we'll be together, right?!
*shrugs shoulders* ;)
Amused me while asking Kellen inappropriate questions about his glasses. He allowed me to beta test hugging and snuggling with glasses. Got to love my OTO brothers and sisters. And I thoroughly enjoyed the two days of the three days of the reading of the Book of the Law. Beautiful company, as always.
