Job numbers: The typical GOTP hypocrisy

Feb 07, 2014 09:21

For the first couple of years of the Obama administration, as employment levels were stagnantly high, the GOTP constantly mentioned the numbers as "proof" of Obama's failures. Then the numbers started going down. Suddenly, the numbers were suspect, they were rigged, they were unbelievable. Except, of course, for any month since when the numbers jumped even a tiny bit. Then the numbers mattered again.

Job recovery has been anemic since neither party has emphasized jobs, as they don't help the 1%. In our 1.5 party system, things tend not to be important unless it's upward income redistribution. Still, the regular hypocrisy of the right wing in our nation continues to boldly be shown. It's not even vaguely subtle. If the numbers go up, the numbers matter. If the numbers go down, they're not to be trusted. It's so obviously despicable but their short attention spans make them believe they're making sense.
