A woman running an organic farm seems to have left her front yard a mess. She violated city ordinances for long grass, a sofa in her yard and a few other things. Her neighbors complained. What's a city to do? Fine her? Of course not.
The Arlington, Texas, police force sent a SWAT team. That's right, they held her at gun point for 10 hours, destroyed a lot of her farm and claimed they were searching for marijuana -- which they did not find. For having an overgrown front yard.
Check around, you'll notice the Republican controlled states are fast adding SWAT forces to many tiny police departments. Of course, if you're going to arm yourselves like you're a military group, you just have to use it regardless of the reason. The people who claim government should stay out of our lives, should spend less and shouldn't be stomping on our freedoms are building government armies wherever they can.
