As
Hemant Mehta pointed out, there was a problem with a Time Magazine cover story. It claimed only religious organizations helped after the tornadoes in Oklahoma and the writer whined about why didn't secular humanists do anything. Mehta destroys that religious rant with the thing many religious folks, and what passes for "journalists" these days, avoid -- facts. He lists a bunch of organizations that donated both time and money.
Mehta and others have pointed out that the secular groups can't get tax exempt status, hence a lack of cheap advertising about them. However, they're there. Some people don't wish to admit it, but they're there.
