Todd Akin was recently in the news for saying that victims of "legitimate rape" don't get pregnant. That doesn't seem to have been enough for him. There's now a tape of him saying that some doctors perform abortion on women who aren't even pregnant.
It's bad enough that a religious nut, troglodyte moron can say such provably false things. However, the Republican party can't really distance themselves from him. They can't call him a strange outlier. The House Republicans put him on the House Science and Technology Committee.
So the subject line isn't just aimed at Akin, but at the entire Republican infrastructure.
