Why Stewart is the most respected news man
even though he runs a comedy show is demonstrated yet again.
I'm unemployed and bored. I read at least five news sources a day. Yet, somehow, I saw no front page coverage, and missed any hidden coverage of an important event. Then, watching yesterday's Daily Show, I saw it: Right wing freshman in the House of Representatives passed a bill that claimed if the Senate ignored the bill it would take effect anyway. WHAT?
Did those idiots completely miss their High School civics classes? Are they so completely blinded by hate, ignorance and fanaticism that they just forgot how government works? What did they think they'd prove other than the left's claim the current Republican party thinks the Constitution is only to be used for toilet paper? And, what about Naomi (for you Laugh-In fans)?
Luckily, enough of the older Republicans still had a shred of decency and sided with the Constitution. The Tea Baggers could get that atrocity to the floor of the House, but still can't get it passed. Thank you for the small things...
