Israel, rockets and the New York Times

Apr 22, 2010 12:54

Yahoo has an AP article on an explosion in Aqaba. I looked at Ynet and the Jerusalem post to find out a rocket had been fired. It was most likely fired from the Sinai at Elit, and hit Aqaba next door, but investigations are proceeding.

Yahoo covered it, Israeli papers covered it, what about the NYT? Its front page had nothing. The home of it's world news had nothing. Its Middle East page had nothing. Why not? After all, Israel has more international reporters per capita than any other country. The middle east is, supposedly, the source of all tensions in the world. So why no instant coverage as it covers all sorts of other breaking news?

The thought that immediately comes to mind is simple. The NYT can't figure out how to blame Israel for this.
