Just saw a link to an
article about FDIC Chair Sheila Bair on Bloomberg. What's very clear is how a Republican who was appointed by Shrub is working closely with the new Democratic President. Why? Because she can think, rather than just parrot whatever Cheney demands.
The most important two things mentioned in the article are: 1) She disagrees with the "too big to fail policy"; 2) She disagreed with Shrub's decision to push to save lenders and not also mortgage holders. She was proved right on the later, I hope she'll eventually be given the lead to show the former is also correct.
She's smart, important, powerful and most of us haven't heard of her. We should pay more attention.
