Sadly, Shimon Peres and Tzipi Livni attended the sham UN interfaith conference put on a propaganda ploy by Saudi royalty. It went as expected. Most Muslim leaders, including the Saudi royal putz, wouldn't acknowledge Peres, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, furthermore talk with him.
Then, after Peres made an impassioned speech about all faiths needing to work on peace in the Middle East, it was the turn of PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayed. In his speech, he mentioned that Jerusalem was holy to two major religions: Islam and Christianity. That's right. He made no mention of Judaism. An Arab Muslim claiming to want peace says that Jews have no history or right to the Old City of Jerusalem, ignoring that it has been holy to Jews since long before Jesus and Mohammed were born.
He then went on to mention it was "occupied" in 1967, making no mention of his own people's rejection of UNR181 or the war they declared in which they illegally captured and occupied the city.
Yes, interfaith dialogue still means "you others should really accept dhimmitude" in the minds of most Muslims.
