an update.
So it's official. I'm going to be spending fall semester in Ghana. I just got the verification today and I'm kinda flippin' out. (in a good way.) It's going to be crazy living in a place so incredibly different than what I'm used to for 6 months, crazy and really fucking hard mentally and physically but I think I'm up for the challenge. So much 45 spf, good god. My plan is to student teach in a Ghanaian classroom either teaching english or work on an AIDS awareness/prevention unit with young kids. I have butterflies thinking about it now that its a legit PLAN. Aghhh.
Another official thing as of the past week or so is that I'm now a Dramatic Literature major. This means I gotta read buttloads of plays and listen to annoying biznatches obnoxiously over analyze and over articulate everything and it's mom. Excellent. But I'm pumped, I get to hold on to my drama geek past a bit and that's a big deal.
OK heres another important update. My friends and I aren't fucking kidding about loving My Chemical Romance. We're not trying to be sassy by pretending to like something that 16 year old square-one mall goths enjoy. We pretty much listen to them in the car whenever we are together. What started as a guilty pleasure has become a guiltless undying love. We all want to have sex with Gerard Way. This is not a joke. Loud and proud.
En CONCLUSION,
I've got plans, summer is soon, i love tofu general gao, french is a difficult language, my parents rock, and gerard way get in my pants.
