BECAUSE TAYLOR IS THE FAIL AND DIDN'T WATCH SPN AND NOW I HAVE TO FLAIL BEHIND A CUT.

SO OMG. OMFG. Dean and his DEATH and Sammy's "YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!" freak out followed by eventual "you die. yes. yes you do. excuse me while I sit here and stare blankly at you because of the emotional trauma."
I have emotional trauma and I'm not screwing Dean Winchester on a regular basis before he starts dying on me. (Yes. That implied Sam is.) No wonder Sam was flipping out after dealing with the car (worst one, I swear. omg, gave me chills) and the choking and the axe death and the slipping in the shower and the other million trillion deaths.
But the best (worst? no, def. best. I love me some evil!Sammy) part was when Sam went all crazy trying to find the Trickster. The whole uber-neat wall charts and making the bed and Bobby's messages and just.
Chills. Major, major chills. It makes me wonder what's going to happen if Dean dies for real. Like, his time is up and he dies and is Sam going to take on hell for him? I'd like to think so.
AND HERE COMES THE THEORY BECAUSE I'M ON A FA-REAKING ROLLLLLL.
I think the Trickster was hired or bribed or threatened by some really, really powerful demon to kill Dean over and over. It might have gotten a sick sense of amusement out of it (oh, god. OH GOD DEAN. I am still wibbling) but I don't think he honestly felt any real anger towards either Winchester. I don't know. At the end he seemed tired of the game and I think if he got tired of it he'd have stopped. SOMETHING (ONE?) WAS KEEPING HIM AT IT.
I think the demons are trying to send Sam over the edge. And they're winning. I think that having Sam embrace his dark side (because I don't buy the whole 'powers died with the YED' thing) would make it easier for hell to come to earth. The demons want Sam on their side, not leading but not trying to stop them. And the whole "I know Dean's your weak spot, Sam. We all do." bit was a sign. THEY WANT TO BREAK SAM, NOT KILL HIM.
I think they almost did. Because when Bobby was like "We gotta bleed somebody dry" I don't think Sam was bluffing. Nope. I don't think he was bluffing until Bobby tried to sacrifice himself. Because Bobby ain't stupid. So, yeah. Dean is Sam's weak spot, and Sam's going to go dark side at least a couple more times.
Oh my god I can't wait until next week. THEY ARE GOING TO BE BAD ASS. BAD ASS MOTHER FUCKERS.
