Woohoo!

Hello! How is everyone? I'm fabulous! Lemme explain! :-)

First of all, earlier this week when I was taking a break, I went to the hospital gift shop to look around. I was walking around browsing and then I saw it... the most beautiful sight... a stuffed animal pug! I freaked out. It was SUPER cute. It had straight, stiff legs so it could stand up on its own and it had the cutest curly tail. But.. it was $31.95. Now, at the hospital... if an employee spends over 20 bucks in the gift shop, they can just deduct it out of your next paycheck, which is nice... but I didn't know if I could yet spare that much money. So, I left my pug in the shop and went back to work. Later that evening, I told Greg about the pug... I told my Mom about the pug. Neither of them seemed all that impressed, so I was sad.

Well, yesterday... I got home from work at 4pm and Mom got home at 4:30pm. I was on the couch watching 'Six Feet Under' on HBO when she walked in the door. She goes, "Lindsey.. I was talking to a lady that works in the gift shop and she told me that they sold that pug today." I yelled... "NOOOOOOOOOOOO! THAT WAS MY PUG!" Then, I look up and my Mom is standing there holding the pug. I was damn near speechless. Never in one thousand years would I have expected her to do that for me. I jumped up and grabbed my pug...and gave Mom a hug and a kiss and about a hundred thank-yous. This pug is SO super cute. I'll post a picture of it soon, lol. My other news? I went and saw 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' last night. I was SOOO excited. The movie was good, of course! But.. it was a lot different than the last two. You really could tell that this film had a new director... so for me, that took some getting used to. The movie was great, though. I definitely think that it will be much easier for people who have read the books to keep up with. The movie was really rushed... they had to move the plot line along so quickly... I'm sure that people that haven't read the books were just a little lost, lol. Naturally, there were some things left out... and for some reason, Harry didn't get his new Firebolt until the very end of the movie... in the book, he gets it much earlier than that. *shrug* And really, the only other thing that was sorta weird for me was.. that the kids were wearing normal clothes so often and not their robes. But hey, I loved the movie. Lupin was cool. Gary Oldman makes a great Sirius. Oh... and I miss Richard Harris as Dumbledore. It was so sad that he passed away. The new guy really looks the part, but he just lacks this cheerful warmth that the other Dumbledore had. But.. woohoo, BuckBeak was great. Emma Thompson as Professor Trelawny was great... though, her role in the movie was less than it was in the book. Overall, though... I was quite pleased and still very excited. I think I'll go see it again like next week or something. Our theater was so crowded. Me, Greg, and Brandon had to sit in the THIRD row... so the screen was HUGE and sometimes, I felt a little dizzy, haha. So, I think I'll go see it again when I can sit in my beloved back row. Rupert Grint is adorable! And I love Daniel Radcliffe's new Harry bed head thing, lol.

FUN! I got this from Erica's Live Journal. :-)
