Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I don't update this enough. But it was the Christmas season, so with working at Lush, I have been pretty busy. I'm actually taking a few minutes to write a few thoughts on my new netbook. Yep! I am finally free of the laptop problem! Pete was a complete sweetheart and got me one for Christmas. For that, I'm grateful. Now I have something easy to use (not to mention that works) for when I want to write. Plus it's easy to take with me anywhere I want!
Happy sigh to say the least.
So since I last updated, Pete and I came home from our honeymoon to San Diego. The trip was amazing and we both fell in love with the area. The San Diego Zoo is an awe inspiring experience! The animals are so well cared for there and it's worth it to go to San Diego just for the place. Pete and I couldn't believe how close we could get to some of the animals (such as the big cats).
We also did Sea World, which was nice, but severely overpriced. We saw a few shows and browsed a few places. I was especially captivated by the sea lions. In some of the exhibits, they have special feeding times where you can pay five bucks to get a tray of minos and feed the animals on the other side of the glass. Those sea lions are so dimesticated that they would waddle right towards us and let us just drop the fish into their moths a few feet below. Then they would do their barking and we would just laugh. We went back and checked them out a few times.
The Gaslamp District was really cool. Lots of trendy shops and restaurants. We ate a Nobu and just had a fantastic sushi dinner that was...I can't even describe how good it was.
I was bummed when we had to head home, but we had a wonderful time and we both are all for going back. So hopefully one day we'll make it over there again.
The rest of the month has just been really busy.
