Persistence is paying off.

A little here, a little there, and that's how dress gets done.

My dad and brother came over after church today and got the new door put in on my sewing studio.  Yay!  There's still quite a bit of work to do (that I can't do myself), but at least I can get the floor finished on my own and maybe start hanging some things on the walls.  I don't want to get too much in there, though, because I'll need to do a little more painting once they're done.  Doesn't look like they'll be able to come back until I'm at Costume College, however, so I guess I'll have to make do with my current room for the rest of my CC sewing.  Should be fine since I don't have any more major cutting out to do.

Anyway, while they were working on the door, I got a little more done on my overskirt.  Little being the operative word since I was interrupted every five minutes or so by my dad looking for a tape measure, my brother looking for a screw driver, K looking for the car soap...because apparently only a woman knows where everything is.  So, in between all that, I did manage to get the back finished and the side seams sewn.  All that's left now are the waistband and some ties.

But for now, it's getting late and I'm very, very sleepy.  Tomorrow, there are Firefly sleeves to be done and an overskirt waistband.
