I saw The Hobbit (no spoilers)
a day later and all I can say is THORIN. Thorin, what are you doing to me, I don't even LIKE face-fur on men but Elbereth save me WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN SEXY??

From what I heard, the Dwarves singing version is not on the soundtrack, but there IS a special edition soundtrack set to release that will have added songs, pictures, and oodles of swanky stuff. So I'ma wait for that sucker to come out and hoping REALLY HARD that they've got that version of the song on there. 'Cause it rocks my socks and sends me to a happy place.
AND YES. THRANDUIL'S FRIGGIN SWAG STAG. He is such a diva. I mean... he kinda was before this movie, but that perfect, perfect FACE and his EYES and super-model lack-of-real-expression-other-than-the-universe-bores-me and that friggin' STAG omg.
Thranduil's killing me too, tbh. On the one hand, I saw his character design and had the reaction "....he's a super pretty Erlkonig. Eep!" and now... now he's... gods, I can't wait to see what they do with his character. There's so much potential to play with him and the little teasers all over the 'net are killing me.
And did you know Thranduil's actor (whose name escapes me at the moment) was in a movie called Soldier's Girl, in which he is faaabulously in drag?
I have a crack fic brewing in my head because of this.... since, ya knowm Elrond also has a drag movie in his history. :3 Just picture it: Thranduil and Elrond helping each other into drag, and in walks Thorin, since they are nominally friends after the Battle of Five Armies. How do you diplomatically deal with this situation? Why, you dress Thorin up in glittery stuffs, too, of course! Then you all dance to ABBA!
There would likely be lots of booze involved in this. Loooots of booze.
