Nonono, I'm not saying your brain is slower! I'm saying that, in the gradual change from a 2nd or 3rd grader wandering in the woods out back, gazing upon each tree with a practiced eye to test whether or not it is climbable, to a more-sophistacted-despite-her-protests 16-year-old who has become a verifiable couch potato in front of her computer screen (or rather, broken-swivel-chair-potato), the meaning of the phrase "Let me show you the coolest place ever!" has been demurred from translating to a 15 minute walk in the woods to a click of a button. Thereby, my world has gotten faster, and I have gotten lazier, and though I still keep an eye out for climbing trees, it has been a while since the texture of bark has been a new revelation to me. That is all I am saying. Reading a 2-page description on how the land lies and which way the leaves flutter to the ground was much more interesting to my woodsy young self than it is now to my impatient, stupid, really-wishing-I-were-8-again teen.

Does that satisfy you as an explantion for what I meant?
