“Who thought it was a good idea to have daughters anyway?” Tony demanded.
Pepper just grinned as she watched their little girl head off on her first date.
“No, really, she’s just a kid.”
“She’s fifteen, Tony.”
“And…?”
Lacing her hands around the back of his neck, she looked up into his eyes. “It’s going to be fine.”
“I know what teenage boys are like!”
“Because you are one,” she responded dryly.
He sputtered a bit, but didn’t dispute her statement. “I think you’re missing the point here.”
“And I think you should show me just what teenage boys are like,” she said breathily, a smile tickling her lips.
His eyebrows rose and his brown eyes sparkled. “Is that right?”
“Oh yeah.”
“I could never say no to you.”
