Since I couldn't come up with five for her first choice, grachonok picked a new one.

Top 5 things you want to strangle canon authors for?1: The three Star Wars prequels. Totally ruined something I'd been so eagerly looking forward to since the day Return of the Jedi came out. I try and ignore their existence at this point [g ( Read more... )

What's wrong with Anita Blake now? I'm only on book six or seven.

Narcissus In Chains is where she really started to lose me, but I plugged along till Incubus Dream, hoping that things would improve. They didn't. That's the last one I read.

Pretty much anything to try and explain would spoil upcoming books for you. Let's just say I got tired of Anita having sex with anything that so much as moved. If you took out the sex scenes, you'd be lucky to be left with a novella.

I kept on - the last couple have started edging back into having an actual plot :)

The newest one was a real test - it's got Edward in it - and as I wrote in my review over at otterevilreads, if Anita and Edward had had sex, I was going to give up plus selling/donating all the books I own. But they didn't, so I'll continue reading :) (I think that's vague enough with no real spoilers)

Me and my Mom totally agree that the last book was much more like back in the beginning, with actual plot and police action and less sex (not no sex though, lol). I agree that you ought to try it.

I love Edward. What's that say about me that I love the sociopathic killer?

Even for Edward, I don't think I ever want to read another one [g]

Yeah, I guess I can see your point there, especially since it took almost six whole books to finally get it on with Jean Claude. I wish I had money to get the ones after The Killing Dance *sigh*

Believe it or not, LKH used to have trouble wrting sex scenes. I guess she overcompensated.
