We did a lot of DVR catch up this weekend. Of the new shows this season, I'm really liking, in no particular order:

Chuck

Moonlight

Journeyman

Life

Women's Murder Club

Private Practice

I have only seen Chuck, Life, and WMC from that list, but I like them all, and Moonlight is on my online episode to-watch list.....

I'm waiting for the cancellation axe to fall on some of what I'm watching. I'm also watching Bionic Woman, K-Ville, and I have Pushing Dasies on the DVR.

I've really liked K-Ville, but I'm weeks behind!! I also started watching Las Vegas for Tom Selleck. I'm drowning in TV this season!

Watched the first ep of Moonlight finally. Some cheesy dialogue, but the premise and story wasn't too bad. I'm willing to give it another go. I love JOurneyman and Life, though!

It gets better. The first episode (and a lot of stuff from following eps) was such a Forever Knight ripoff, but I find the cast engaging enough that I'll forgive them [g] I really liked last week's episode a lot.

Life is my favorite of that bunch, oddly enough. Well written, good acting, interesting overall arc mixed with episodes, great dialogue.

Journeyman is pretty good, but the wife is getting to be annoying and shows where they are heading.

The last episode of Moonlight was a bit better and did something a little different from FK for once. Still waiting to see what they do.

I think I'm one behind still on Journeyman. I hear it isn't getting great ratings, so I don't know how long it'll last.

I LOVE the Women's Murder Club. I think Angie Harmon is gorgeous.

I keep missing Private Practice. When the heck is it on?

And you could always do Addison/Dan if he got the job offer from the States and not Europe. (hint, hint)

WMC has a really nice cast chemistry. Nin wants to read the books now.

Private Practice is on Wednesdays at 9pm here (our primetime is 8-10pm)

I promised Pat an Addison/Dan fic ages ago. It's still filed in the 'to write' drawer!

I like the characters in Moonlight but I wish they'd do some more interesting shows. Forever Knight, though I didn't agree with the writer's philosophy about vampires, made one think about the larger issues (vampires vs. religion, suicide, etc). I wish Moonlight would explore those weighty issues.

Oh? Do tell :) Seriously, I'd be interested in finding out a little more about what you mean, if you have the inclination.

A couple of things........ dracschick October 22 2007, 23:09:15 UTC
1. I don't agree that vampirism is analogous to alcoholism. Though many alcholics do die when they go sober, alcohol is not needed to survive. Blood is needed for vampires. They cannot give it up.

2. I was raised Catholic (am closer to Episcopalianism now) so I disagree with the episode where Nick 'dies' and the angel says that he cannot go to heaven just because he's a vampire. In other words, no matter how many good deeds Nick does, he cannot get into heaven. I believe that Nick could get into heaven/be redeemed even though he's a vampire through his good works.

3. I thought it was odd that the vampires could not have a relationship with humans without wanting to kill them. IMO, I think there's a middle ground (taking some blood but not killing them. I would have liked to see Vachon and Tracey together.

Thanks :) I'm going to try and reply, but I'm all drugged up today at home with my back. So when I can actually think coherently...
