Tea 'healthier' drink than water

I've always gotten grief from people bugging me to drink more water, despite the fact tea is water -- just with flavouring. I don't use sugar, and I drink about six cups a day. So now I have my very own study [g]

I have long held that the reason I get fewer mosquito bites than anyone else in my immediate family is that I drink tea. I tell them that my body smells bitter from the tannic acid and so the mosquitoes avoid me. Meanwhile, my most beloved drinks bucco amounts of koolaid lemonade and if a mosquito is in the room, he's going to get bitten. But then, I guess, he smells sweet.

As another tea drinker can I say that this is great news. Wish the study had been clearer about milk and if it detracts from the benefits of tea.

I refuse to believe my teaspoon of milk can have any affect! [g]

I've given up counting how much tea I drink in a day. I do drink water too... but definitely more tea than water.

Ahh, an excellent excuse for me to make a pitcher of iced tea!
