Other than canning, not much,. Well, I did finish and posted the last part of Equivocal Coalescence. For a longish story, I completed it in three months. Which for me, is fast. It seems to be fairly well received--well, as much as you can tell these days. I really did enjoy writing a story set during a movie, it was a challenge. Hopefully it will ( Read more... )

I'm angry all over again at people who have cats, let them outdoors, and can't even be bothered to get them fixed.

somebody needs to come into the shelter and I will do an activity we do with the children illustrating how quickly cat population can get out of hand.

It's too bad you can't figure out a way to get paid for all the strays you guys rescue. If only the city council would incorporate you as a shelter and acutally pay you! that would be awesome but probably unrealistic.

I'm working full time at an animal rescue now, and...yeah.

Especially because it's kitten season AGAIN. I get at least 1 call or e-mail an hour that starts with "I found this kitten" or "these kittens" or "a mother and kittens." But we're full. I can't create space out of nothingness, and I can't make foster parents appear from thin air. It's terribly sad and frustrating.

I know about the rescue animals. All of mine are rescued. It's so expensive too. It would be great if the Vets (in this area) would give discounts to people who do rescue - like vaccines and spay/neuter.
